On Wednesday, April 21st, the BID Clean & Safe Team was recognized by the Washington Nationals for their outstanding service to the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.  The 10 person team along with manager Leon Johnson received the Spirit Award and signed baseball bat on the field prior to the first pitch.  William Wardlaw, on-street supervisor, sang the National Anthem and blew the crowds away.  Following the award ceremony, the Team enjoyed dinner and great views of the game from the PNC Diamond Club with their guests.
