Arman Moyerarmanmoyer
Business Manager, Chicken Tortilla

Until he became the business manager of the Chicken Tortilla restaurant, 30-year District resident Arman Moyer hadn't spent much time in the Capitol Riverfront.  But he likes what he sees now - a vibrant, accessible neighborhood with flair.

"There is a lot of vitality. The Nationals Stadium has brought us lots of business, while the new parks have kept the area like a small and friendly neighborhood," he says.

The former owner of hair salons in Northwest DC was looking for a new retail opportunity when he discovered the Latin-themed restaurant known for its Peruvian rotisserie chicken.  The restaurant has been serving area residents, Nationals fans and business-people in the Front for four years, and Moyer has big plans to enhance the menu and dining experience to meet the needs of a changing and growing residential and employment population.

"The food business is a happy business. People come and eat and enjoy. It's always busy in here," he says.

Moyer rejects the notion that he and other Riverfront business leaders are pioneers.  And even though economic forces have slowed development activity at large, Moyer continues to see expanding opportunities for both his restaurant and the neighborhood.

"The accessibility of the Front is what brought me here in the first place. I think this will attract many others," he says. "And that is a good thing."
