 Bang Salon and Aura Spa Grand Opening
A new year for beauty and wellness. Meet the faces behind the Capitol Riverfront's newest lifestyle complex as Aura Spa and Bang Salon host a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, January 21st, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 1212 4th Street, SE.
Champagne, wine and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Relax and rejuvenate at Aura Spa with complimentary lip or brow waxing (quantities limited) with special event pricing on signature massages and facials ($99 for 60 minute treatments).

Celebrate the Winter Season at Ice Yards
When life gives you ice, make Ice Yards! After the massively popular Splash Yards last summer, The Yards is bringing back the ice version! Gather your friends and grab your mittens and scarves. Ice Yards is bringing the ski chalet vibes to DC this Saturday, January 17th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Ice Yards will feature ice bars and cocktails, a frosty beer garden, live music, adult snow cones, outdoor fire pits, hot tubs, ice sculptures, virtual skiing, and more. Party goers can also purchase local cuisine from TaKorean, 100 Montaditos, Agua 301, Nando's Peri-Peri, and tasty Ice Cream Jubilee flavors, including think Gin & Tonic, Banana Bourbon Caramel, Maple Rye Pecan, and Limoncello ice cream. Park Whiz Now in the Capitol Riverfront
The Capitol Riverfront BID has recently partnered with Park Whiz, a parking reservation company and mobile app, to make it easier for visitors to find parking in the Capitol Riverfront.
Visitors to the Capitol Riverfront will now be able reserve and pre-pay for parking at one of 10+ surface and garage parking lots in the Capitol Riverfront with Park Whiz before arriving in the neighborhood.
This service is available every day of the year, with more parking available on Nationals game days and for special events like the NHL Winter Classic. To make a parking reservation on Park Whiz for your next visit to the Capitol Riverfront click here.

Daily Events at Canal Park Ice Rink
Beat the winter blues at Canal Park Ice Rink! The ice rink is open with the following hours throughout the winter: Monday and Tuesday from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Thursday and Friday from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm; and Sunday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Admission is $9 for adults and $8 for children, seniors, and military. Skate Rental is $4.
The ice rink also features daily programming and events:

Help Restore the Anacostia for MLK Jr. Day of Service
Join Anacostia Riverkeeper, Pope Branch Restoration Alliance, NSC Partners, Anacostia Watershed Society, Serve Your City and other community partners to clean up the Anacostia River at Pope Branch Park on Monday, January 19th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for the MLK Jr. Day of Service.
These clean-up efforts will celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the memory of Joseph Glover, Founder and Chair of Pope Branch Park Restoration Alliance.
