2014 Capitol Riverfront Perception Survey
The Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement District (BID) is dedicated to making the Capitol Riverfront clean, safe, friendly, and vibrant.
Every year, the BID conducts a perception survey to hear from neighborhood residents, employees, and visitors about what we are doing well and how we can improve your experience in the Capitol Riverfront.

Willie's Brew & Que Opening Soon!
The barbeque is being tested on the grill, and the big-screen TVs are ready to go! Sports bar-themed barbeque restaurant Willie's Brew & Que will be opening very soon in the Boilermaker Shops, located at 300 Tingey Street, SE in the Capitol Riverfront.
Willie's Brew & Que will be open daily from 11:00 am to 2:00 am. Lunch will be served Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and dinner everyday from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am.
Willie's features a total of fourteen 70-inch and 60-inch TVs, so customers will be able to view at least three games from any seat in the restaurant.

Visit 5x5 Public Art Exhibitions in the Capitol Riverfront
Visitors can also enjoy an exhibit at the 200 Eye Street, SE Gallery titled "5x5: District Transformation through Public Art," currently on view Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The 5x5 Project, an initiative of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH), is an ambitious District-wide program of contemporary, temporary public art dedicated to exploring new perspectives on our city through the lens of five curators.

Harris Teeter Opening November 5th!
Capitol Riverfront residents and employees can now look forward to the official opening date of Harris Teeter at The Yards!
On November 5th, Harris Teeter will open its doors as the first full-service grocery store in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. Set in the recently opened Twelve12 complex, the 50,000 SF Harris Teeter store is within walking distance of Nationals Park, and surrounded by top neighborhood destinations like VIDA Fitness and Bluejacket Brewery, as well as the riverfront Yards Park and Riverwalk Trail.

Living Classrooms Presents Night at the Yards
Enjoy a night of fun for a great cause at Night at The Yards, a special event on the river in the Capitol Riverfront that celebrates and supports the important work of the Living Classrooms Foundation.
This year, Night at The Yards will be held in Lot Q on the corner of Water Street, SE and 4th Street, SE. Party-goers will enjoy food catered by DC's favorite restaurants and a variety of beverages, as well as live music by spectacular New Orleans band The Subdudes.
Tickets for this event are $110 per person in advance, and $120 per person at the door. Reserved tables of 10 are also available for $2,000.
Night at The Yards is a benefit that helps fund the innovative hands-on education and job-training programs provided by Living Classrooms Foundation. Living Classrooms works primarily with youth and young adults living in high-risk environments in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas. Living Classrooms gives youth the skills needed to turn their lives around, continue their education, and achieve success in the workplace.

Spooktacular Halloween Events in the Capitol Riverfront
Halloween is right around the corner! Mark your calendar for these festive events in the Capitol Riverfront that are sure to guarantee a ghoulishly good time.
On Saturday, October 25th, the National Museum of the United States Navy will host spooky tours through a pop-up Haunted Gallery. Tours of the museum gallery, located at 736 Sicard Street, SE, will be open from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for those 12 years and under, and from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm for ages 13 and older. On Sunday, October 26th, there will be a Halloween Party hosted by Waterfront Church on the 2nd floor of the Courtyard by Marriot in the Capitol Riverfront, located at 140 L Street, SE. The Halloween Party will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and will feature games, pumpkin painting, candy and more! This is a fun, local, and free event for kids to enjoy.
