PARCELPARCEL Market at Canal Park, a New Creative Approach to the Holiday Market

This holiday season, the Capitol Riverfront BID is proud to present PARCEL Market at Canal Park, located at 200 M Street, SE, from Friday, December 12th through Sunday, December 14th. This new holiday market concept will light up the park's three blocks with its 10,000 square-foot ice rink, a large styled tent showcasing talented independent vendors, a food area from local food artisans and restaurants, music from local DJs, and an interactive art installation. PARCEL Market will be open during the following hours:
  • Friday, December 12th, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Saturday, December 13th, 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Sunday, December 14th, 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
PARCEL Market is curated by the celebrated husband and wife team behind DC MEETMarket: Kelly Towles, a DC-based street artist and Virginia Arrisueño, founder and lead designer of local knit accessories brand DeNada. "Our goal with PARCEL," said Arrisueño, "is to elevate and urbanize the concept of a holiday market event. By incorporating handmade and modern styling and showcasing emerging and independent brands, retailers, food producers, chefs, and local musical talents, PARCEL will create an overall festive and unparalleled experience for every type of market-goer."

Quality emerging labels will anchor each day of the market, including wares that span fashion (DeNada, Native Danger, MUTINY DC, Durkl, Kelly Towles), jewelry and accessories (Matine, Mallory Shelter, Woodrow Jewelry), pet accessories (Winthrop Clothing), home enhancements (Be Clean Shop, Pure Palette Scents), and gifts & prints (Typecase Industries, US Wood Toys, Petite Lucette). The food lounge will warm market-goers with seasonal fare including Bluejacket Brewerys craft beverages and sausages; Ice Cream Jubilee scoops and hot chocolate; Dirty South Deli sandwiches; Undone Chocolate craft chocolate bars; Teeny Pie pastries; Asian-infused dishes from Maketto, the new culinary project from Toki Underground's Erik Bruner-Yang; and more.

Live music at PARCEL Market will commence Friday evening with performances by DJs Basscamp and Rex Riot, and performances by favorite local DJs will continue throughout the weekend.
Whether enjoying delightful flavors in the crisp air, lacing up your skates, or finding that perfect gift among talented local merchants, the Capitol Riverfront BID invites you to celebrate the winter season at PARCEL Market.
