|Nationals Opening Weekend Generates Media Buzz About the Capitol Riverfront Neighborhood
The Washington Nationals baseball season is now underway in the Capitol Riverfront, and fans have shown that they are hungry for more than just baseball! Several new restaurants have opened since last season, and fans are happy to find the variety in food and beverage offerings.

|Fitness in the Front
The Capitol Riverfront BID and VIDA Fitness are excited to announce that "Get Fit for Summer Workouts" will be hosted on the boardwalk of Yards Park, located at 355 Water Street, SE, beginning Monday, April 28th!
Free and open to the public, the fitness classes will be offered Monday through Saturday until the end of August. Class schedules will be revised each month based on participant interest. Visit the Capitol Riverfront BID Events Calendar

The following classes can be enjoyed from April 28th through May 31st:
Mondays: V-Boot Camp (6:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
Tuesdays: Boot Camp (7:00 am - 8:00 am); Sunset Yoga (5:45 pm - 6:45 pm)
Wednesdays: V-Boot Camp (6:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
Thursdays: Sunrise Yoga (6:30 am - 7:30 am); Zumba (5:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
Fridays: Vinyasa Yoga (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)
Saturdays: Boot Camp (10:00 am - 11:00 am)
|Celebrate National Cherry Blossom Festival at Yards Park
The Capitol Riverfront BID and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) invite you to attend the National Cherry Blossom Festival Lantern Making Family Day on this Sunday, April 13th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Yards Park.
There will be two sessions of lantern making for children and adults, at 10:00 am and at 12:00 pm. As an official event of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the lantern making day will feature a variety of Japanese cultural activities, as well as a moon bounce for all children to enjoy.
This event is free and open to the public. Check out many of the nearby dining options

|Truckeroo is Back in the Capitol Riverfront
Truckeroo kicks off this Friday, April 11th at the Half Street Fairgrounds, located at Half and M Streets, SE from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
The third annual event will feature over 20 food trucks, live music and games for all ages. Enjoy lunch or dinner from the comfort of a shaded picnic table and a vibrant atmosphere.

|Residential Development Update
The Toll Brothers residential project River Parc is now topped out, and full completion is expected in fall 2014. Located at the corner of First and K Streets, SE, River Parc will offer 287 luxury units ranging from studio to 2-bedroom plus dens, as well as a suite of amenities including a landscaped rooftop pool.
Concrete is now being poured in the upper levels of WC Smith's Park Chelsea with an anticipated completion of November 2014. Park Chelsea will feature 433 luxury units and contain three levels of parking below grade.
Twelve12 (pictured right), the newest residential community in the Capitol Riverfront, is now pre-leasing! The 218-unit apartment space is built above a Harris Teeter, Vida Fitness, Sweetgreen, Takorean, and more. |DC Beerfest Returns to Nationals Park
The DC Beer Festival returns to Nationals Park, bringing together over 60 craft breweries and 120 beers, with a focus on spring seasonal brews.
The event will feature games, DJs, delicious craft beer, and food.
Admission is $40 with a choice of two sessions: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Admission includes unlimited tastings, with food sold separately.
