NatitudeNothing but Natitude in the Capitol Riverfront!

Congratulations to the Washington Nationals on clinching the National League East title in Atlanta by toppling the Braves! Be sure to catch the last regular season games this weekend as the Nats take on the New York Mets tonight at 7:05 pm; and the Miami Marlins on Friday at 1:05 pm and 7:05 pm, Saturday at 4:05 pm, and Sunday at 1:35 pm.

The "second season" of baseball will soon begin with the MLB playoffs. The Nats are assured of an opening series with a best of five format, and the dates will soon be released. Most importantly, the baseball celebration continues in the Capitol Riverfront, and the Natitude endures among neighborhood residents and employees, as well as baseball fans!

The Capitol Riverfront BID would like to welcome all fans back to the stadium and the neighborhood to see the games and experience the festive atmosphere that always surrounds a playoff series. For those fans attending the games, come early and enjoy neighborhood restaurants and parks before the game or for a post-game celebration.

For those fans unable to get tickets and who still want to watch the games, come to the Capitol Riverfront and view the games in a restaurant or bar setting and join us in Yards Park for Nats celebration events before the first two home playoff games.

The first round playoff series will feature the Nats at home either on Friday and Saturday, October 3rd and 4th, or on Monday and Tuesday, October 6th and 7th. Either way, the following celebrations will be held at Yards Park:

1st Home Game - pre-game concert in Yards Park featuring a favorite band from our summer concert series; CBS Radio broadcast and interviews; family friendly activities; the Howard University marching band leading fans to the stadium, and those without tickets back to Yards Park; and game watching in The Yards area for those fans without tickets.

2nd Home Game - pre-game concert in Yards Park; CBS Radio broadcast; family friendly activities; and game watching in The Yards area.

Hear the roar of the crowd when the Nats play amazingly on the field in the Capitol Riverfront!

CapitalsWashington Capitals Reveal Winter Classic Jerseys at Nationals Park

The Washington Capitals unveiled their 2015 NHL Winter Classic jerseys during a press conference at Nationals Park in the Capitol Riverfront on Tuesday, September 23rd.

The Caps chose a throwback look to their uniforms for the New Year's Day game against the Chicago Blackhawks. The jerseys are a deep red and feature three stars and two vertical stripes across the front, a call back to the DC flag.

District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray and Capitals owner Ted Leonsis both gave remarks during the press conference. During his remarks, Leonsis commented that "sports are a reflection of civic pride," and went on to discuss the sense of community that is created by world class sports teams.
