How to Get Here

Metrorail

Green Line:

  • The Navy Yard station is at the heart of the Capitol Riverfront. The Navy Yard station has two station exits: New Jersey Ave, SE & M St, SE and Half St, SE & M St, SE.
  • From the Waterfront/SEU station walk east along M St, SW for about four blocks

Orange and Blue Line:

  • From the Capitol South station walk south along 1st Street, SE for about three blocks to New Jersey Avenue, SE. Take New Jersey Avenue south below the I-395 freeway
  • From the Eastern Market station walk south along 8th Street, Barracks Row for about three blocks to M Street, SE

Bus
The Capitol Riverfront is accessible by multiple bus routes, which include the N22, A42, A46, A48, P1, P2, V7, V8, V9, and more. Visit the Metro website for additional route information.

Bike
Several bike trails, multi-use trails and streets with bicycle lanes feed into the Capitol Riverfront and even more are being constructed as part of the Riverwalk Trail system and streetscape improvements. Check out a DDOT bike map here.

Walk
The Capitol Riverfront is a brief walk from the U.S. Capitol Building, Congressional Office Buildings, Capitol Hill and Barracks Row.

The Capitol Riverfront is accessible from highways I-395 and I-295. Check out MapQuest or Google Maps for specific driving directions
