Canal Park Picnic and Home Tour

Canal Park Picnic  At the heart of the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood, steps away from the Navy Yard Metro, Canal Park is the community’s front lawn for free barbeque and drinks, live music by Cazhmiere and favorite lawn games including badminton, ladder golf, hula hoopas and more.  All are encouraged to bring their own favorite games as well!

Explore a wide variety of unique homes, from renovated historic row houses to recently completed luxury condos, apartments and townhouses.  See a variety of home decorating styles such as a Hollywood-style rowhouse interior, a boutique-hotel style apartment, and a renovated townhome with wood floors from Monticello.   
Neighborhood Walking Tours
Forty-five minute walking tours depart at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to explore the mixed-use neighborhood.  Learn about the unique industrial and naval history, the progressive green and sustainable features of the neighborhood, and hear more about the development  to come.
