The new Capitol Riverfront neighborhood by the Navy Yard Metro is rolling out the red carpet for a series of mid-day concerts every Wednesday through September 30. The Front Stage Concert series hosts dozens of extraordinary talents and musical styles ranging from jazz to funk and country.

Fortunate audiences will hear the Phat Blues of Kelly Bell (routinely named best blues band by the readers of Maryland’s Music Monthly magazine), Motown-inspired Jimi Smooth & the Hittime, the R&B tunes of Smooth Sensations, the nostalgia of That 80s Band, and the Salsa Swing of Orquesta La Romana. Plus, back by popular demand is the Jewels doo wop trio who once sang back-up for James Brown.

Come get a front row seat and enjoy a new tradition of lunchtime entertainment in the Capitol Riverfront. Concerts are every Wednesday from noon until 2 pm at Tingey Plaza, located one block south of the Navy Yard Metro (New Jersey Ave exit) behind the U.S. DOT building.

Food and drink from On the Fly and Sweetgreen frozen yogurt are available for purchase.
