The Capitol Riverfront gets into the Halloween spirit with events for all ages October 29th - 30th.
On Saturday, October 29th, the BID presents Pumpkins in the Park at Canal Park from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm featuring pumpkin decorating, face painting, a giant moonbounce, a festive photo backdrop, and live music from Rainbow Rock. This event is free and open to the public. Pumpkin decorating continues at Steadfast Supply Pumpkin Painting in The Yards from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at 1331 4th Street, SE. Drink the District is back in the Capitol Riverfront for Rock the Core Cider Fest, also on Saturday with two 3-hour sessions from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 1st and N Streets, SE. Rock the Core will transport the orchard to your mug with over 30 ciders and 20 beers offered on site plus lawn games, local eats for purchase, and live music. The Brig beergarden hosts a Halloween Pig Roast starting at 3:00 pm with live music by Billy "T" Wilde. Wear a costume for drink specials! Bluejacket is calling all guys and ghouls to get your costume game on and get into the brewery starting at 8:00 pm for the second annual Bluejacket Halloween Bash. Bluejacket is bringing back the Haunted Brewery Tours (they're free, but you'll need to reserve here) starting at 8:00 pm, and DJBJ Brian Jones will be spinning from 10:00 pm onward. Arrive early to secure your seat and enjoy the Bluejacket costume contest starting at 10:00 pm, with prizes ranging from Bluejacket bottles to dining credit. Justin's Cafe will also host a Halloween Bash, starting at 8:00 pm. Join Justin's Cafe in your best costume for drink specials, including a Halloween specialty cocktail, and a great time.
On Sunday, October 30th, Taste on Wheels hosts DC's Largest Outdoor Brunch from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at 1st and N Streets, SE. A brunch drink is included with the purchase of a ticket, and $3 brunch bites will be available from food truck favorites. Also on Sunday, Steadfast Supply presents "Parents Paint Kids Create" Watercolor Workshop from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at 1331 4th Street, SE. Bring your kids for an afternoon of watercolor painting, cocktails, and mocktails.
