Let's Play Ball! Opening Day in the Capitol Riverfront

The most wonderful time of the year for Washington Nationals fans is right around the corner. The Nats will begin their 2017 home season by hosting the Miami Marlins this Monday, April 3rd, for the Opening Day game at 1:05 pm. Here's what's "on deck" for the day!

106.7 The Fan welcomes the return of baseball with the biggest Pregame Block Party in the nation's capital. Join 106.7 The Fan on Opening Day from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Canal Park to celebrate the start of the season. Enjoy live music, frosty beverages, a live pregame show, and much more before heading over to Nationals Park. Nationals fans, employees, and residents are encouraged to enjoy the block party before and to stay in the neighborhood after the game for food and fun.

Scarlet Oak will open for brunch at 10:00 am with drink specials including craft bucket deals, $5 RedBull mimosas, $8 RedBull mules.

The Brig beer garden will also open at 10:00 am with all-day food and drink specials and Nationals game coverage on all outdoor screens.

New this year at Southern-influenced restaurant Due South is a patio lounge with an outdoor beer bar. Head "due south" for game day snacks like the classic Andouille dog and barbecue nachos.

The Bullpen will open at 10:00 am with live music and $5 drinks between the 3rd and 7th innings.

Make time for some shopping on your way to the game: Local furniture store EVO will offer 10% off and free deliver on all purchases, and Pacers Running will feature 10% off all apparel.

Ice Cream Jubilee will show its Natitude with new flavor Nats Red Velvet, a blend of red velvet cake ice cream and a cream cheese frosting swirl. Show your game ticket and try the new flavor by receiving a free mini cone of Nats Red Velvet with ice cream purchase. Bryce Harper approves.

Riverfront Mexican spot Agua 301 will open its doors at 10:30 am and offer $6 margaritas, $4.50 draft brews, $4 bottled Budweiser specials (16 oz), and $6 nachos from opening until 7:00 pm.

Check out the game from Top of the Yard rooftop while enjoying new food menu items and cold beverages. Top of the Yard opens at 11:00 am.

Il Parco will also feature a $15 Margherita Pizza and beer deal along with $4 Miller Lite drafts, $5 Peronis and Blue Moons, $5 house wines, and $5 rail drinks.

Stop by Italian restaurant Osteria Morini and show your Nats ticket for a free draft beer, wine, or glass of prosecco. Kids will receive a scoop of kids gelato with a cookie.
