Join the Capitol Riverfront BID at the Canal Park Ice Rink for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting. Councilmember Charles Allen will make a special visit to count down the lighting of the tree and visit with all attendees. Also enjoy caroling, skating with Santa and a Santa photo booth, a special visit from Holiday Minions, warm holiday treats from neighborhood retailer Slipstream and Captain Cookie, food and adult beverages from SideCar Bar Truck, a Grinch-themed skate performance from Capital Theatre on Ice, tunes from DJ EPX and DJ RI5E, and an Ugly Sweater contest with food and beverage prizes to kick off the holiday season.
