As the leaves start to fall, Capitol Riverfront enters the Autumn State of Mind. Between the numerous fall-themed events and gorgeous autumnal sights, your September through November is sure to be well spent. Here are the top ten fall must-dos in the Capitol Riverfront to add to your seasonal bucket list.

Chesapeake Oyster and Beer Festival - On Saturday, October 21st from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the Capitol Riverfront will bear witness to one of the city’s best seafood festivals. Head to the Chesapeake Oyster and Beer Festival to enjoy all-you-care-to taste wines, spirits, and beers as well as a variety of shucked oysters, food trucks, live music, and more. Pumpkins in the Park - Celebrate fall with fresh air, creativity, and free family-friendly fun at the 4th annual Pumpkins in the Park hosted by the Capitol Riverfront BID in Canal Park on Saturday, October 28th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The fun includes pumpkin decorating, face painting, a giant pumpkin moonbounce, a festive backdrop and a photographer for family photos. Halloween at the Yards - If you are in the mood for amusement and wonder,  check out Side Yards on October 28th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the Yards Park boardwalk. Side Yards will be an evening of thrills and sideshow entertainment with more stages, more performers, and more freaky fun than any event in the past. On October 29th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, bring your furry friends to A Very Barky Halloween in their Halloween best and enjoy a pet costume contest with prizes and parade through the Capitol Riverfront, on-site pet adoption, and Bark-or-Treat throughout the Yards. A Workout with a Twist - The Brig hosts a Beer & Yoga class every Sunday morning through mid-November from 11:30 am to 12:30 am with instructor Sophia Hyder. This Dharma-inspired multi-level flow class is sequenced to help all levels find their strength and flexibility through a series of balancing poses, twists, backbends, and inversions to enable energy to flow freely though the spinal column to support greater health, vitality, and peace of mind. Stroll through the Fall Foliage in Yards Park - The Yards Park is awe-inspiring all year round, but it is arguably at its most beautiful in the fall. There is no better lazy Sunday morning activity than grabbing a warm pumpkin beverage from one of the neighborhood’s many coffee shops and taking a stroll to enjoy the golden leaves. Beer and Wine Tastings - The neighborhood’s  two breweries, Bluejacket and Gordon Biersch, as well as newly opened District Winery offer incredible tasting deals to make your autumn days a blast. Bluejacket offers tasting tours on Saturdays at 3:00 pm and Beers & Bites tours every Friday at 7:00 pm. Gordon Biersch serves five unique German beers on tap and has happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
