Baseball Season Has Officially Arrived in Capitol Riverfront

Root, Root, Root for the Home team, CapRiv! The Washington Nationals will be playing against the New York Mets on April 7 at 7:05 pm, and there are a number of ways you can celebrate in Capitol Riverfront. Ice Cream Jubilee

Ice Cream Jubilee is welcoming Nationals fans back to the neighborhood with their Opening Day Cookies with red and white Sprinkles. They will also be serving their popular Baseball Helmet Sundae, featuring two scoops of any flavor ice cream or sorbet, with whipped cream, cherry, and sprinkles. Bat it out of the park by wearing Nationals clothing to receive a free sprinkle cookie with every ice cream purchase. 


Come celebrate the start off the Nationals’ 2022 season at Bammy’s with food and drink deals that are sure to be a home run. Drink specials include Atlas Bullpen Pilsner for $4, Atlas Bullpen Pilsner and a shot of rum for $8, and Nationals’ Colors Frozen Drinks - a red, white, and blue tiered frozen beverage of Pina Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, and Blue Curacao for $15 each. Food specials will include a Bam Cheeseburger for $12, and a Jerk Chicken Sausage for $10.

The crew at All-Purpose Pizzeria will be opening their doors earlier than usual at 12:00 pm on April 7 to welcome baseball fans before the game. Opening Day will also kickoff the release of their annual Full Count Lager beer, done in collaboration with DC Brau. Pints of their ballpark-inspired, light lager will be sold for $5 in honor of the beer's 5th anniversary. 

Boombox Boxing Club

Take your 7th inning stretch at Boombox Boxing Club in celebration of Opening Day. For $30 you will receive a two class credits (a $60 value) that expire 30 days from the date of purchase. The boxing club is also featuring complimentary glove rental with the purchase of hand wraps.
