Listen to Jazz in Canal Park
The seasonal Jazz in Canal Park series returns for the fall beginning September 7. Gather in the middle block of Canal Park every Wednesday in September with family, friends, and neighbors for free, live jazz performances from local music groups. Check out the lineup of performers here.
Get your running shoes and dancing feet ready
Kick off the start of fall with the Bridge to Bridge Fun Run & Concert, a fun community evening at the riverfront with friends, family, and neighbors to properly close out the summer season. Gather at the Yards Park Boardwalk for a casual 5K fun run for all ages - guided by Pacers Running experts, then return to the park for a live concert featuring a local band, lawn games, glitter tatoors, and complimentary scoop of ice cream or beverage courtesy of the BID. Enjoy Free Fitness Along The Riverfront

Try New Fall Ice Cream Flavors
Summer scoops at Ice Cream Jubilee will be available for purchase until September 5, leaving room for exciting new autumn flavors including Apple Butter Oatmeal Cookie, Maple Rye Pecan, Pumpkin Honeycomb, and more to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in September. Decorate your Pumpkin in Canal Park
The free 9th Annual Pumpkins in the Park will return to the neighborhood on Saturday, October 29, transforming the middle block of Canal Park into a giant pumpkin patch. The event will feature live painting, pumpkin decorating, and live music for all to enjoy.
Participate in Oktoberfest Happenings
It's officially that time of year! Oktoberfest is just around the corner, and there are lots of happenings in the neighborhood. Atlas Brew Works is kicking off the celebration with the release of their Festbier on September 15, and Project DC Events is bringing back The Great Oktoberfest on September 24. Neighborhood breweries and sports bars like Tap99, Bluejacket, and Takoda Restuarant & Beer Garden will also be celebrating with seasonal beer releases through the fall season.
Catch a Championship Game
This year’s National Women’s Soccer League championship game will take place at Audi Field on Saturday, October 29 at 8:00 pm. Tickets for the championship will go on sale Thursday, September 8, with a few options for snagging tickets in advance. Register online to grab your tickets early to the big game.
