Decorate Your Pumpkin at Canal Park

The free 8th Annual Pumpkins in the Park returns on October 30 with another community gathering at Canal Park where the park's mid-block will transform into the neighborhood's very own pumpkin patch. After picking your own pumpkin, take home a free decorating kit, courtesy of Phase Family Learning Center & Kilwins, or have your pumpkin decorated to the next level by local artist Creative Pounds. If you like live music & pumpkin decorating, then this is the event for you. 2nd and L Streets, SE

Trick or Treat with Your Tiny Friends

Grab your kids and pets and head down to outdoor Trick or Treating with Steadfast Supply on October 30, featuring spooky treats, a photo booth, an awesome children’s book ready led by Lola & Pear. between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Catch a Festive Flick

Gather with friends, neighbors, and "altogether ooky" family for a free outdoor showing of The Addams Family (1991) at Yards Park on Thursday, October 28 starting at 6:30 pm (movie begins at 7:00 pm sharp). Kilwins will be at the event selling Halloween candy & treats, and the first 50 participants will receive a free Capitol Riverfront lawn blanket. 355 Water Street, SE

Head to the "Ultimutt" Yappy Hour

Enjoy an evening of "boo"ze and barks at the Sandlot Southeast with a Tricks + Treats yappy hour on Friday, October 29 at 4:00 pm. Pets are welcome to pawticipate in a FREE costume contest judged by a local group of dog aficionados, complete with $100 prize to the first place winner; and the first 50 humans - accompanying a pet of course - to snag a drink ticket at entry will enjoy a complimentary seasonal beer at the Sandlot bar. Be sure to register your su"pup"heros and "Bark"ensteins for a pet portrait paired with a Sprinkles pupcake. Proceeds from the $10 tickets will be donated to Rural Dog Rescue.

Party on a 1200-foot Dance Floor

Enjoy a night of fun Saturday, October 30 at 8:00 pm at Nightmare in Navy Yard. Tickets for the event range from $45 to $65, which include access to an open food and drink bar for three hours. Get Lost at Sea

Anchovy Social will host their first ever Halloween Haunted Pirate Party at Sea - rain or shine - on October 29 featuring cocktails, costumes, and buried treasure. Boo with DCU

Enjoy a series of pre-match activities on Wednesday, October 27 at 6:00 pm at Boo with DCU. Tickets for the match grant you access to the Halloween event, which will feature trick or treating, a costume contest, and face painting located throughout the venue. Take a Guided Wine Tour

Enjoy a guided wine tasting with experts from the District Winery, paired with tasty Halloween treats at Halloween Candy & Wine Tasting on Sunday, October 31 between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Tickets for the event range from $36 to $45, which will include an hour-long tasting of six different wines and tutorials on urban winemaking. There are three different time slots for the event, each limited to 14 people.
