The 41,888 seat facility along the Anacostia River is home to the Washington Nationals Baseball Club and includes a number of exciting fan amenities including luxury suites, club level seating, restaurant/sport bar, picnic area, family plaza, public art and more, while also striving to be the most environmentally friendly MLB ballpark ever. When it opened in 2008 it was the first LEED certified stadium in the country. The ballpark has been averaging approximately 2.25 million visitors per year.
The stadium has also hosted concerts by Bruce Springsteen, the Dave Matthews Band, and Billy Joel and Elton John as well as events such as Opera in the Outfield put on by the Kennedy Center.
