The Park Chelsea will be a 433 unit luxury apartment building located at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue, SE and I (Eye) Street, SE.  Designed by Esocoff and Associates, the building will be designed to LEED Silver specifications and will include features such as a green roof garden over looking the U.S. Capitol building.  Other amenities include a 75 foot indoor lap pool, second roof top pool, pilates/yoga studio, dog exercise area, and a jacuzzi.  There will also be 1,500 square feet of ground floor retail.  The planned apartment building will be the first phase of three or four total phases on Square 737 by William C. Smith + Co.  Preliminary site work and infrastructure work is underway with vertical construction of the Park Chelsea targeted to begin in 2012 once the necessary infrastructure work is completed.
